12 US stadiums to host FIFA Club World Cup in 2025

FIFA has announced that 12 stadiums in the United States will host the 2025 Club World Cup.

The 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will mark a major transformation of the tournament, expanding from its current 7-team format to a 32-team competition with a group stage followed by knockout rounds. There

There will be eight groups of four teams, with the top two from each group advancing to a knockout stage.

With 2025 already around the corner, FIFA has announced the dates and venues for the Club World Cup.

The tournament begins on June 15, lasting for 1 month through to July 13, in 2025.

FIFA has selected the United States as the perfect venue for the inaugural edition of the expanded Club World Cup.

Matches will be played across 12 stadiums the Bank of America stadium and Mercedes Benz stadium, with the final set to be played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The 12 stadiums are listed below.

Qualification/Eligibility

Clubs qualify for the tournament based on their performance in their respective continental competitions over the last few seasons, in this case, from 2021 to 2024. There is also a Continental Quota system , with each confederation allocated a number of slots.

There will be 12 teams from Europe, 6 from South America, while Asia, Africa and North America with jointly contribute 12 teams. One slot will go to Oceania and another slot to the host nation, the US.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are among the teams that will feature at the showpiece.

The 2025 tournament is a massive shift from the current annual Club World Cup. It aims to be the biggest global club competition, bringing together the best teams from all continents and significantly raising the prestige and financial rewards of the competition.This will be the first edition to feature the expanded format, and FIFA sees it as an opportunity to elevate the global club game to a new level.
